Sign on San Diego: Mother arrested after allegedly throwing children into SF Bay

It happens, I suppose. Don’t laugh, though–this one has a sad ending:

A mentally ill woman seen dropping her children into the chilly waters of San Francisco Bay was behind bars Thursday on three counts of murder. Police found her pushing an empty stroller away from the end of a downtown pier.

But no one could blame you if you deal with the grief by shaking your head and maybe smiling a little at this quote:

“She told my mama she was going to feed them to the sharks … No one thought it was that serious.”

Well there’s the problem, because:

Her family said she had a history of mental illness.

Regular frustrated mother threatens to feed kids to sharks: okay, ha ha, she’s just venting. Mother with history of mental illness threatens to feed kids to sharks: SAVE THOSE DAMN KIDS!

In entertainment news, Stallone’s making a new “Rocky” film, reports the mainstream press. Of course, I started talking about this shit over a year ago. I’m just saying.

There’s something else that I’ve been meaning to tell you about:

One year before Naomi Watts played Rachel Keller in “The Ring,” she played Jennifer Evans in “The Shaft.” IMDB lists “The Shaft” under the title “Down,” which caused me some trouble during my search.
