best web comic?
I know it’s cheap to keep posting these polls instead of actually writing something more substantial, but I’ve got to double-dip a little or I’ll lose my mind. Anyway, I think this is an important question that’s not getting much attention at BuzzDash, and I know the Project Wonderful crowd will have an opinion:
I could pick only five, so sorry if you feel I’ve totally missed the boat on these. Anyone have a more representative five? Let me know in comments. By the way, I have a rather aggressive spam moderation plug-in that does a very good job, so if your comments don’t show up after a couple days, let me know from the contact page.

MAAKIES all they way.. although, how do you define a web comic? Both PBF and Maakies are published in weeklies. If it is WEB ONLY comic, then DINOSAUR COMICS FOREVER!

Actually, I believe Dino Comics also appears in print in newspapers and magazines. It used to, at least.
I guess I just meant best comic you can read on the internets. Why, were you hoping you could suggest The Family Circus, or something?

I don’t envy you trying to pick just one… but there are tons and tons of fantastic comics out there. In fact, I’ve only heard of one of the five you listed. That’s the Dinosaur Comics. …in fact, that’s how I ended up here.
Some of course are ridiculously “popular”. So, here are some, in no particular order.
Penny Arcade
CAD (Ctrl-Alt-Del)
xkcd*
Chugworth Academy
8-Bit Theater
Order of the Stick*
VG Cats
The Noob
Boy on a Stick and Slither
Worm and Bird
Most of these I’ve read from start to finish… My eyes hate me.
* Particularly recommended, but require some particular kinds of interests. Gaming, D&D in specific, for Order of the Stick. Otherwise 75% of the jokes might not make sense.
