quickies: home stretch
Sarah reminded me that NaBloPoMo is winding down. Just a few more days! It hasn’t been so tough, but I will tell you this: I won’t be posting on Dec. 1.
Some things:
Since the inception of Weblog Sin Pies in November 2005, Akismet, the aggressive anti-spam plugin I use, has caught 74,224 attempted spam comments. It works. And I haven’t heard any complaints about it stopping legit comments.
Rock Band lives up to its title. You play in a band! And yes, it does rock. I can’t imagine rocking without a band now. Which may sound like a weird revelation if you’re not into other games where rocking consists of only singing or only playing a guitar or only dancing on what looks like a puffy Twister mat. That last one is all Rock Band is missing: functionality for a squad of dancers to be part of your musical group. Oh well — I don’t see Bigfoot’s Pillow* as the type of band that has dancers, anyway.
If you die and go to hell, what you find when you get there is that every day feels like the Monday after a four-day weekend. Noooooo!
I’m making a New Year’s resolution for the first time ever this year. It’s a good one, too. Can you share resolutions without ruining their chances of coming true? Or is that just falling-star and birthday wishes? More research is needed. I’ll get back to you sometime in November.
*The name of our band, obviously.
